Marcia Pierce-Rasmussen has been in real estate for over 14
years. Her career began in southern Utah in 2000 and in 2007 she obtained her
Associate Brokers license. Soon after becoming a real estate agent, she
realized that Zion Canyon area was her passion and chose to focus on that area.
Consequently, her area of expertise is with properties in and around
Springdale, Virgin, Rockville and the county lands surrounding the southern
boundaries of Zion National Park.
Through her career, she has gained a specialty in working
with rare and unique properties in Zion Canyon area. There are many things a
potential buyer should know before buying many of the parcels in this corridor
such as water rights, zoning issues, soils and easements. Marcia has gained
unique knowledge and experience dealing with these issues. She even volunteered
for 6 years on the Virgin Town planning commission where she learned a lot
about the zoning process for building and commercial development. She has a
passion for making sure her clients know what they are buying before they
finalize any transaction.
Her best quality is uncovering the details out of every
property deal she works with. In her many years of experience, she has learned
that the details can make or break a sale. A detail could be the piece that snowballs into a lawsuit or
the piece that makes the deal go through. She often considers herself to be a
Sherlock Holmes for her clients as she counsels them, helps them to discover
their options, and guides them on the best course of action to take based on
their decision.
Marcia was born in Idaho and raised in Seattle, WA. She has
learned how to meet and overcome many challenges in her life including cancer
at the age of 12 years old. She has been an entrepreneur all of her life and
enjoyed digging in to the challenges that owning your own business presents.
Being ‘the boss’ has allowed her creative-analytical mind to flourish. Finding
creative solutions to challenging problems is her specialty.
Currently, Marcia resides with her family on their farm in
upstate New York where they are learning the art of ‘homesteading’. She maintains her real estate career in
Zion Canyon area and plans to focus on both real estate in Zion Canyon and
upstate New York. She has many
clients, family and friends in southern Utah that keep her actively involved in
the community. Concurrently, she is in the process of building her real estate
business in New York and is enjoying becoming a part of this vibrant community.
She lived for over 14 years in southern Utah near Zion
National Park where she established a thriving real estate business, a
wonderful home and loving family. She and her family enjoyed the natural
splendor of Zion Canyon. They often hiked and camped on the many trails offered
in the area and their special hobby was going horseback riding in the
backcountry.
Her personal passions are nutrition, eating naturally,
exercising, and being in nature. From her near death experience with cancer,
she has learned to take care of her self and well-being, as well as the
well-being of others. It has been said that Marcia has a natural green thumb
and this not only extends to her plants and vegetable garden, but also to the
many people and animals in her life.
Above all, family is what matters most to Marcia.
